About Us

          

  Purpose

  To foster and advance the aims of the Democratic Town Committee.

     To aid in carrying out the planks of the platform of the State and National Conventions of the party. 

 

      To work and organize for the success of the Democratic candidates of the District,County,State and Nation.

        To do all things necessary  and incidental to the building and strengthening of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts.

Membership

The Dracut Democratic Town Committee shall consist of the members elected at the Presidential Primaries for a period of 4 years from 30 days following their election.The Committee may add to its elected members provided it does not exceed a total of 35 members .

The Town Committee may , by vote at any meeting , authorize the appointment of associate members.Associate members shall not have the right to vote,but shall have such other powers and duties as the Town Committee may determine.

A vacancy in the membership of the Town Committee shall be filled only from the list of Associate members ,within one month from the time the vacancy occurs,or no later than the next regular meeting.
